History of a carbon atom- Go to Schoology for this assignment.
- You will have 30 minutes to write your story.
- In 30 minutes you will present your story to your table group and
Thursday
- The epic journey of a carbon atom- share your epic stories (15 min)
- Finish pages 3/4 on Tip Chart- quiz tomorrow on those terms.
- Complete part 2 of History of a carbon atom: reflection on your story and how it could be improved. Turn in EOP on Schoology (10 pts. on complete and well-thought out reflection).

What you learned group presentations on climate change
- I learned how our Earth is in close danger, the next 50 years could lead to drastic changes in our atmosphere. That nearly all increased amounts of greenhouses gases have been from human activity.
- I learned about how Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets changed over time.
- Our CO2 emissions are causing climate change and we need to act on it now.
- Humans are one of the main causes of climate change.
- How much greenhouse gases we have been putting in the atmosphere.
- I learned that the longer we record climate the more we discover just how much we are affecting our world.
- irradience does not contribute to climate change
- i didnt learn anything new
- you can look at ice cores to see Co2 levels from the past
- I learned that though the Earth through cycles humans have spiked the CO2 emissions significantly are we are the main cause of climate change.
- CO2 and CH4 when released into the atmosphere, trap heat inside the atmosphere raising the average global temp.?
- I learned what solar irradience is.
- that there are loads of other things causing climate change other then the 'basic' causes most people know and most all of them are increasing in speed and human caused
- that there are a lot if things that cause global warming
- What main main factor is for climate change and rising sea levels
- We are heating up the earth a lot
- a lot about what causes global warming
- I learned that global warming is caused by humans and its not natural in the amount that is happening before
- That climate change highly increased during the industrial revolution
- there is a lot of evidence supporting that the humans have been producing more and more CO2
- the extent of the increase in CO2 and CH4 in the atmosphere
- That the last five years have been the hottest years and that farms and factories are a main contribute to climate change.
- I learned that Antarctica lost 127 billion tons of ice
- I learned about all the different ways climate change is effecting our earth, and the process humans have taken to cause it.
- I learned how accurate the models are getting to represent climate change.
Your questions:
- is there a scientific consensus on humans causing climate change: Is there any scientists who disagree with this claim or is it completely agreed throughout the science community?
- Presentation #1: How do fossil fuels affect ice sheets?
- How much Ice has melted? How did scientist know what the CO2 emissions were thousands of years ago
- Is there anything humans can do to help fix our mistakes?
- Group 6: Is there a relationship between global warming and solar irradiance? My question: What does solar irradiance have to do with climate change?
- one question that I would like to have answered is how can I myself make a accurate model of climate change and its affects
- Solar Irradiance: What was the purpose of the presentation if there is indeed no clear relationship between solar irradiance and global warming?
- how do people still not believe in this
- Are we doing anything to improve climate change today?
- how is water vapor a greenhouse gas?
- What has caused the solar irradiance but the surface temperature is still going up.
- What has caused solar radiance do go down but surface temperature to go up?
- how can we fix climate change?
- Have Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets changed significantly sense 2002 how does climate change effect sea levels?
- why arent we all doing more things to help are planet and why isnt anyone making a change
- What is carbon footprint?
- How are we doing this?
- would solar irradiance have an effect on Earth if humans didn't exist?
- Why do the ice caps melt due to climate change
- It there a way that your study's can help prevent climate change?
- The question I have for the atmospheric CO2 levels in the last 800000 years presentation is how can we stabilize The CO2 levels?
- How hot is the earth normally compared to our recent years of releasing greenhouse gases and what is the temperature of earth supposed to be?
- Why are the sea levels rising? How can we prevent them from rising more?
